Recruitment Taskforce

Application Deadline: April 1, 2024

New Blue Fellowship

Overview

We identify officers who demonstrate a desire to reimagine law enforcement. We provide them with the network, funding, and skills to develop long lasting solutions in policing.

Through a year-long fellowship, our participants, along with input from the communities they serve, define police procedures and practices that diminish community trust. Then they work alongside communities and subject matter experts to develop, apply and analyze the most promising systemic solutions. Fellows present their solutions at our annual conference in London.

Grant Priorities

In order to receive New Blue micro grant funding, participants must use funds for a qualifying charitable purpose, currently serve as a law enforcement officer, and meet some or all of the following criteria:

  • Solutions that enable citizens and police to work together toward reform

  • Support restorative justice, arrest reduction, compassionate policing, diversity recruitment and/or the recruitment & retention of female officers

  • Promote social equity and racial justice
